Last week, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts suspended his British Academy Film Awards nomination for Bohemian Rhapsody in the wake of sexual assault allegations made against him.

It had been planned that principal photography would begin this year in Bulgaria but a spokesperson for the company said that the project ‘is not on the slate at the moment.’
On hold: Millennium Films has announced it has delayed the start of shooting on Bryan Singer’s new project Red Sonja in the wake of the sexual assault allegations made against the director
The Usual Suspects and X-Men filmmaker Singer has denied the allegations against him published by the Atlantic, calling the article a ‘homophobic smear piece’ that was ‘conveniently timed’ to take advantage of the success of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Singer was accused in the article of inappropriate groping and sexual relationships with four young men.
At the time, Millennium chairman Avi Lerner said the film production company was staunchly supporting the director in the wake of the allegations.
‘I know the difference between agenda driven fake news and reality, and I am very comfortable with this decision. In America people are innocent until proven otherwise,’ Lerner said.
