Gemma Collins has finally broken her silence about that Dancing On Ice fall – comparing herself to boxer Tyson Fury.
The TOWIE star burst into tears after falling flat on her face last night, and suffered serious bruising and swelling to her legs.
Returning to social media on Monday morning, the Essex diva shared a clip of her now infamous face plant and admitted she feels mortified.
"Absolutely devastated & embarrassed, My heart is broken but when I went down I thought of Tyson Fury and knew I had to get back up & carry on!" she said in reference to the boxer’s fight against Deontay Wilder which saw him get up after a 12th round knockdown.
"Can’t thank you enough for your support on social media and picking up the phone to vote! Im in a lot of pain but bring on fantasy week!!"
It comes after the 37-year-old was faced with claims she ‘faked’ the fall, with fans questioning why she toppled over during a relatively easy part of the performance to Celine Dion’s ballad, It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.
"Gemmacollins fall was more fake than her personality! She didn’t try to balance herself, didn’t wobble one bit, just straight down! Whoever bought that s**t – WAKE UP!" sniped one viewer.
A third wrote: "Should have been booked her for diving, biggest fake fall ever."
However, other speculated that it would be a hard fall to fake.
"People sayng Gemma Collins fall was fake, have you ever tried throwing yourself flat onto the ice like that?" pondered one.
"I do martial arts and we wouldn’t break fall like that, that was a fall that could have caused many injuries, I highly doubt it was fake!" added a second.
Despite her woes, the GC managed to score her personal best on this year’s show, earning a score of 16.5 from the judges.
