Prof. Sabiha said this year, 56 students would receive gold medals for excellent academic performance. A total of 10,873 students are eligible for graduation, post graduation and diploma course this year. Atleast 46 students will get Ph.D. while ten completed their M. Phil this year. “The number of total gradates this year is 1,293 more than last year,” she said.

Two new endowment lectures, four new gold medals and one scholarship have been added.

She said the university had sought ₹60 crore from the government for various development works. However, the government did not make any announcement on this in the budget.
