Green protocol to be followed at all polling stations in district

District Collector Seeram Sambasiva Rao, who is also the District Election Officer, has called for the dedicated participation of all government staff for a smooth and transparent conduct of Lok Sabha elections in Kozhikode.

Addressing a district-level meeting of election nodal officers and officials holding key election responsibilities at the collectorate conference hall here on Friday, Mr. Rao also sought the cooperation of all officials for ensuring a differently abled-friendly election. The green protocol also should be followed as envisaged at all polling stations, he said.

As part of efforts to make all polling stations differently abled-friendly, the Collector will hold another round of meeting with election officials at the collectorate on Saturday. Officials said efforts would be made to set up polling stations with wheel-chair access. Transportation too will be arranged for needy voters, they added.
