Armed with the latest decision of the State Cabinet to allot land not less than one acre to recognised political parties in all 31 districts, the ruling TRS has geared up its leadership in districts to identify land parcels for construction of party offices on a war footing.

A senior leader told
The Hindu
that the offices will come up in all 31 districts in three to four months. They will not be high budget offices as what was proposed was minimum infrastructure comprising a hall, a meeting room with seating capacity of 15 to 20 and the district president’s chambers, apart from parking area. In addition to the State office which the TRS already had at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad, the party will construct another premises for its city. Similarly, the TRS will construct an office in New Delhi where it was entitled to 1,000 sq yds as per guidelines on the basis of its strength in Parliament. The party was shown two sites close to Connaught Circus and Vasant Vihar in the national capital but it was yet to take a final decision.

Sources said the TRS found it difficult to select a site in Ranga Reddy though it was shown a dozen land parcels because the geographical area of the district was spread far and wide. If the office was to come up in Ibrahimpatan, party cadre of Chevella will feel left out.
