Coronation Street favourite Sally Metcalfe is left fighting for her life next week after the factory roof collapses, and the actress who plays her has remained coy over her fate.
The character will be one of several characters left injured when the roof of the building caves in, with Sally herself falling through it.
Pictures show Tim’s wife unconscious as those around her battle to save her, amid further horror about to strike.
It’s been confirmed a character will be killed off in the stunt next week, but the identity of that character is yet to be revealed.
Now, actress Sally Dynevor who plays her has shared her initial reaction to finding out her character was at risk.
While she didn’t reveal Sally’s fate, the star did reveal her thoughts on claims of a new super villain hitting the Cobbles.
On whether she was worried, she told The Sun Online : “Of course that’s the first thing I said, oh my gosh!
"Gosh, she’s just got out of prison, give her a break!"
It’s been revealed that the incident is no accident, with someone tipped to cause havoc on the already damaged roof, unaware people are going to be inside the building.
A list of suspects have been confirmed including Nick Tilsley, Peter Barlow, Carla Connor, Gary Windass, Robert Preston and Seb Franklin.
Speaking of her own suspicions, Sally revealed she had no idea who the culprit was but hoped it wasn’t one resident in particular.
She admitted: “I really don’t know who the super villain is. There was a teaser it’s Nick but I don’t want it to be Nick.
“He’s so sensible so I don’t want it to be him.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
