Danny John Jules and Amy Dowden have admitted to having a row which "left her in tears."

The pair, who appeared on last night’s It Takes Two with Zoe Ball, have once again appeared on the show to share their side of the story about a furious argument in rehearsals, during which Amy "walked out in tears."

MirrorOnline exclusively revealed that Amy, 27, sobbed as she rang producers on the BBC show after storming out of the studio where she and actor Danny, 58, had been practicing.

A source said: “Amy’s call sparked a sense of panic, not least when she said she couldn’t be paired with him any more.

“The two of them have had several cross words and arguments throughout the series. But this was the biggest row yet.

“Danny is knackered with all the training and he lost his cool. Amy took it really badly.”

But tonight the pair spoke out about the row, calling it an "intense say in rehearsals."

Gethin Jones asled them: "It has been a tough week of training for Danny and Amy.

"Been quite a lot of press about Strictly today and I know you guys would like to say a few words about it. How would you want to respond?"

Amy replied: "Yeh it’s our turn this time! Things did get a little intense the other day in rehearsals [Wednesday.]

"But do you know what we took a half an hour break and got straight to it.

"I’ve never felt threatened or bullied by Danny. I really want to get this man to Blackpool, and then to the final."

Gethin then asked Danny what he would like to say, joking about them mentioning the famous Blackpool round of the competition.

Danny replied: "Well, all I can tell you is that the only reason I’m here, this far, is because of Amy and I would never bite the hand that feeds me.

"I’m more than happy; it’s probably the best dancing we have done in the last couple of days since I have been on the show.

"And I’m just happy to go along, she is the boss, she wears the pants."

Danny later joked "not to argue with a Welsh woman," with which Gethin agreed.

After the bust-up, BBC bosses told Danny he has to be “mindful of his behaviour moving forward” and spent today reassuring Amy.

The source added to MirrorOnline: “They are trying to put it all behind them.

“Danny is a perfectionist who strives to make each dance better and better. It’s very common for things to get heated during training.”

While a Strictly spokesperson did not comment on the original story, a source said: “It’s been a tough week for Danny and Amy but they’re back in rehearsals and looking forward to Saturday night’s show.”

Earlier in the show, Amy’s former partner, Brian Conley, expressed his pride in Amy, avoiding the mention of the recent argument as he affirmed she would "get the best out of him."

He said: "I love her to bits but I was her first, and you never forget your first. But she’s come on in leaps and bounds and I’m so proud of her."

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 7pm on BBC1, while It Takes Two airs Monday to Thursday at 6.30pm on BBC2, and on Friday at 6pm on BBC2.
