Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, 46, have been keeping viewers entertained with their funny quips and usual banter on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Ahead of Friday’s episode, the Geordie duo took to Twitter and quizzed their legion of followers on who would be the first campmate to get the boot.

Charlene White, 42, was the first evictee to leave the jungle after receiving the fewest votes from the public but before the show results, the ITV favourites, put the question to their 6.8 million followers.

Ant and Dec cheekily joked they planned to have “kick out” a celebrity in the first celebrity exit of the series.

Ahead of the show, the duo tweeted: “On our way in to kick the first one out! Who is going first from the #ImACeleb Class of 2022?

“Let us know in the replies….”

A show critic took the opportunity to hit out at the reality programme adding they have not been watching the new series Down Under.

Adam tweeted: “Not watched a single episode the shows dead, I’d like a public version of the show like Big Brother did.”

Ant and Dec took the opportunity to hit back at the dig with an epic comeback.

The Geordie pair shared a meme of Mr Bean yawning.

Others come to the ITV star’s defense as Lynne wrote: “Well Adam your having plenty to say if your not watching.”

Nicnak agreed: “And yet you chose to comment!? What a funny thing to do if you aren’t remotely interested…”

John remarked: “If you didn’t watch it, then your opinion on the show’s health is moot.”

Greg quizzed: “Not watched it but you know it’s dead?”

Meanwhile, the Loose Women presenter received the fewest votes on Friday night, and follows Olivia Attwood, who left the show on medical grounds, to be eliminated from the programme.

The ITV newsreader spent 14 days in the jungle and faced her first Bushtucker trial during Thursday night’s offering.

After being voted out, Charlene told Ant and Dec: “It’s been a journey and I absolutely loved living with those guys, they were brilliant.”

The presenter also addressed her reasoning for not sleeping in the RV with politician Matt Hancock.

She explained: “I have to remain impartial as journalism is my first job.”

He was named camp leader last Sunday after facing his fifth consecutive trial.

Hancock has said being voted leader of the I’m a Celebrity campsite “more than makes up for” losing the 2019 Tory party leadership election.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight on ITV One at 9pm.
