The Apprentice’s Denisha Kaur Bharj has shared the exciting news that she’s expecting her first child.
Denisha starred on the most recent series of the BBC show, headed by Lord Alan Sugar, and got the boot on yesterday’s episode, Thursday 26 January, following the contestants' challenge in Brighton.
In the wake of the 29 year old’s axing, Denisha featured on The Apprentice spin-off show You’re Fired, where she debuted her blossoming bump.
Ahead of her time on the show, hosted by Tom Allen, Denisha told the Express and other press: “When we were leaving the process and they were asking us how we feel I genuinely believe everything happens for a reason.
"When I look back now, we are expecting our first little one."
When asked about the gender, Denisha continued: “We are keeping the gender a surprise but it's so difficult, I'm not very good at lying at all.
"It's our first [baby], so we have got a lot going on. It's not been like a normal pregnancy at all.
"I think when you compare it to just trying to take a step back from work or your business, it has not been like that at all.
"Which I knew was going to happen but I'm glad it's kind of pushed me more really."
The Empress of Lashes owner went on to say that she was “disappointed” to have ended up being fired from The Apprentice, but doubled down on her belief that “everything happens for a reason”.
Denisha also spoke about her exit on her Instagram page and labelled the experience as “amazing”.
She penned: “Thankyou all for your support during my @apprenticeuk journey! It has been an amazing experience, I applied with the hopes of winning the investment however only got to week 4.
“I am grateful for the opportunity I had meeting @lord_sugar, BUT guess what it’s not over yet because I’ll be launching my new product for @empressoflashes and you’ll be seeing it in the high street stores soon!”
Denisha’s firing comes after The Apprentice viewers were left in shock when Shannon Martin decided to drop out of the competition in week two.
The bridal boutique owner, who hails from West Yorkshire, told Alan Sugar she couldn't continue on with the show's incredibly tough journey and dropped out of the competition before the infamous boardroom scenes began.
Another business hopeful was still fired one week two despite Shannon’s departure, with Kevin D’Arcy being sacked shortly after.
The Apprentice continues next Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
