Britney Spears has deleted her Instagram for a second time in just a few months after fans grew worried about her recent name change and tattoo.

Britney, 41, had been very active on Instagram in the past week as she changed her name on the platform to River Red, got a tattoo in the middle of a hotel room, which she immediately regretted, as well as talked about her past relationship to Justin Timberlake, making fans wonder if the tattoo was for him.

However, on Wednesday, the singer took to the platform one last time where she uploaded a cryptic post about being different before she deleted he account.

She wrote in the post: "Rational people… I had one of these and it disappeared!!! I could sit back and be like MOST and not give anyone anything to think about on Instagram…

"But interest is what serves most and being good!!!

"Being good can and will wrap things up in a seashell!!! Living the lavida loco life!!!"

Britney added: "It gets better because that's what I aim for!!!

"Keep coughing playas and just remember to watch your back!!! Or you might just get caught!!! Yep sucks to be me."

Finishing her final post, Britney wrote: "Keep talking s**t or maybe it will just rain from the sky!!! Giving someone I love my everything only gives me the dagger in the heart!!!

"So at this point… I generously serve you my s**t… eat my s**t."

Fans are now growing increasingly concerned for the singer, and has taken to Twitter to discuss the welfare of Britney.

One person penned: "I don’t know how to feel about this tbh. I‘m really concerned about Britney, either we’re overthinking or we are right and Britney needs help."

A second person wrote: "Something’s wrong…it’s sad" as another Twitter user argued: "What did she do so wrong? Guys it’s stressful to be followed and pics taken every day!"

Britney previously deactivated her Instagram account at the beginning of December last year before soon returning to the platform.

The deactivation came after fans began questioning whether someone else was controlling her account because of the slightly left-field posts.

As this happened, Britney’s husband, Sam Asghari, touched on why his wife stepped away despite her return just a few hours later.

Addressing his followers on his Instagram story, the 28 year old Iranian-American model wrote: “Social media can be traumatizing. Sometimes it's good to take a break. She has her voice and is a free woman. I have respect for her privacy and I protect it at all times. Thank you to all of her protective fans.

“Out of respect for her privacy I don't post her 24/7. I ask for permission if I ever do.”
