Chloe Ferry has decided to quit social media after feeling as though she needs a break following a tough few months.

The 26 year old, who recently ditched her heels on a night out with Nathan Henry, took to her Instagram stories to share the announcement with her 3.8million followers.

"I've decided to come of social media and my phone for a few days to try find my self again and to know what's real in this life! lately it's been one thing after another in my life and I feel I need a BREAK," she started her lengthy statement.

She then explained that she needs to take some time away for herself as she said: "Remember not everything you see on social media is real, having a detox to remember what's important in life".

"Anything from now that goes on my instagram/Snapchat will be pre recorded stuff/work from my agents and business partners," the Geordie Shore star added.

Chloe's decision comes after she recently skipped her best pal Holly Hagan's wedding to Jacob Blyth, both 29.

A handful of well-known Geordie Shore faces flew out to Ibiza for the lavish affair, including Charlotte Crosby, Sophie Kasaei, Abbie Holborn, Zaheda Allen and Nathan Henry.

However, fans were quick to spot that Chloe was missing, who joined the highly popular reality TV show back in 2015.

With her absence in mind, people were quick to presume that the pair had fallen out but Chloe’s since shared her explanation for her absence.

When asked where she was, the 26 year old told OK!: “I was in Bodrum [Turkey] as I had a family holiday, so I couldn’t go.”

Squashing any reports of bad blood between her and Holly, Chloe continued: “Obviously I spoke to her to wish her well, but I was on a family holiday that was already planned.”

Meanwhile, Holly also defended Chloe after reports of a "feud" between them emerged. In a length post to her Instagram story, Holly wrote: “If I'm asked why people aren’t at my wedding I'm going to answer the question honestly: There were 6 cast members invited out of about 30 but I can’t pick and choose what they choose to make a headline out of.

“We not being close to certain cast members isn’t hard hitting drama, it’s literally the same as you working in an office and not inciting the entire workplace to your small destination wedding.

"I invited the people I see and speak to regularly outside of filming. Does that mean I have drama with everyone I didn't invite? Of course it doesn’t.

The reality star continued: “We have all just filmed the most incredible reunion show together and had the best time /didn’t leave on bad terms with anyone. If anything it brought us all closer together.

“Articles were also written to make Chloe look bad saying she didn't post anything about my wedding and completely ignored it.. this was literally before anyone even knew it had happened and she was actually the first person to message me privately saying she can't wait to see pics and hoped I had the best day."

The star concluded her message by saying: “We live in a world where if something's not on social media it must not have happened and it’s just so sad. We're all adults and not all of us are going to be best friends and that's totally okay.”
