Ousmane Dembele isn’t best pleased with Barcelona after the Catalan club completed the £37million signing of Malcom from Bordeaux.

The France international joined Barcelona from Dortmund for a whopping £97million plus add-ons in August 2017, and was signed as a replacement for Neymar, who had just left for Paris Saint-Germain.

Big things were expected from the young forward, but he didn’t have the greatest season of his career in his first year at the Nou Camp, despite Barcelona running away with the La Liga title.

Barcelona have been linked with various players this summer – as is always the case – but recently made a move for Malcom.

The young Brazilian winger was set to sign for Roma, after Bordeaux had agreed a fee with the Serie A giants, and was on his way to the airport to fly to Italy.

But the Catalan club came in with a better offer in the eleventh hour, prompting Bordeaux to cancel Malcom’s flight and pack him off to Spain instead.

Barcelona now have two capable right-footed wingers, who will both by vying for a place in the first team.

And according to Sport, Dembele is less than impressed with his club’s decision to sign a direct competitor in this summer’s transfer window.

The publication claims that the Frenchman’s representatives have made this point very clear to Barcelona, and that his agent is set to travel to Catalonia in the next few days for crunch talks.

The report adds that Barcelona are confident they can quash the problem however, and reassure Dembele that he is still an important player for them.
