England’s players reunited for the first time since their run to the World Cup semi-finals on Monday night.

And while there were hugs and high-fives aplenty, there was also one extremely red-face.

That’s because Manchester City defender Kyle Walker had only gone and forgot his boots.

England’s official Twitter account uploaded a clip of Walker arriving at St. George’s Park alongside his teammates.

But Walker realised his gaffe, admitting: "I’ve forgot my boots. I am being deadly serious, I have just remembered. I do need them don’t I!"

England begin their preparations for the clashes with Spain and Switzerland on Tuesday.

Raheem Sterling won’t be involved though after he pulled out with a back problem.

Sterling’s withdrawal is a major blow for England boss Gareth Southgate because the Manchester City forward has been in great form this season.

Sterling finished the game and scored against Newcastle on Saturday but did not report up on Monday night at St George’s Park.

England will begin training on Tuesday with Southgate also keeping a close eye on Harry Kane’s fitness.

Kane played for Tottenham at Watford on Sunday but looked jaded and Southgate will be anxious about any of his World Cup stars suffering potential burn-out.
