Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has remained on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a second straight week.
After a year’s gap, the song returned to the No. 1 on the Hot 100 songs chart a week ago.
The Billboard Hot 100 chart ranks songs based on U.S. streaming, radio airplay and sales data, as compiled by MRC Data.
The Christmas song topped the chart dated January 1, 2022, with 47.5 million U.S. streams and 32 million radio airplay audience impressions in the December 17-23 tracking week.
This marks the 50th week that “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has been listed on the Hot 100 chart.
A track from Carey’s 1994 album Merry Christmas, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is an uptempo love song that includes bell chimes, backing vocals and synthesizers.
The song has become a Christmas standard and continues to surge in popularity each holiday season.
