The ‘Baywatch’ actress is reportedly splitting with her bodyguard husband, whom she married on Christmas Eve 2020 in her native Canada after a whirlwind romance.
AceShowbiz –Pamela Anderson is back on the market. The actress has separated from her husband Dan Hayhurst after a little over a year of marriage, says a source allegedly close to the now-estranged couple.
Breaking the news is Rolling Stone, which reports that the 54-year-old actress has filed for divorce from her bodyguard husband in her native Canada. “Pamela loves as authentically as she lives,” the source says of Pamela, adding that the brief union was a “pandemic whirlwind” that petered out.
Pamela, who had been living with Dan in Canada since they tied the knot, has reportedly left their shared home and is currently living in Malibu and spending time with her sons. Neither the actress nor the bodyguard has confirmed their divorce report.
Pamela, who is an animal rights activist, began dating Dan in September 2020, seven months after she called it quits with Hollywood producer Jon Peters. The estranged spouses reportedly bonded over their shared interest in animals. The bodyguard was also a builder for RASTA Sanctuary, a farm animal sanctuary in Canada.
They tied the knot on Christmas Eve 2020 in a ceremony on the grounds of Pamela’s Vancouver Island home. “This one year together has felt like seven – like dog years,” Pamela joked in an interview with Daily Mail after their wedding. She added that they “fell head over heels with each other,” and that it was “a natural fit.”
This isn’t Pamela’s first short-lived marriage. She was first married to Tommy Lee from 1995 until 1998. Her second marriage to Kid Rock only lasted for several months. She was then in a relationship with Rick Salomon, whom she married twice, in 2007 (annulled in 2008) and in 2014 (divorced in 2015).
The “Baywatch” actress later dated French footballer Adil Rami from 2017 until June 2019. In January 2020, she married Jon Peters only to call it quits 12 days later. Jon, however, said they were never legally married.
