Peter Andre has been forced to defend himself on Instagram following a court discussion about the size of his manhood.

The Mysterious Girl singer found himself mentioned on day one of Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney's High Court court battle, dubbed the 'Wagatha Christie' trial.

While being cross-examined by Coleen's barrister, Rebekah, 40, was asked about quotes given to News Of The World in 2004 in which she talked about "having had sex with Peter Andre".

The article said he was hung like a "miniature chipolata" and "made no attempt to satisfy me".

Barrister David Sherborne then asked Rebekah: "Did you think it was respectful of Mr Andre's desire not for this to be made public for you to say all this to the News Of The World and 4 million readers?"

She replied: "I was forced into a situation by my ex-husband to do this story.

"This is something I deeply regret and something that is very much part of my past.

"It is not nice to read. But I was in a terrible, terrible relationship," Rebekah added, describing the situation as "horrible".

Asked if he she felt she needed to discuss the size of Andre's manhood, Rebekah replied: "I was something I was forced to say.''

And following the exchange, which took place in court on Tuesday afternoon, Peter himself has now spoken out on Instagram.

He wrote: “Do you know how hard it is to keep biting my lip on situations? But the way I look at it, most people saw in the jungle how an acorn turned into an oak so I think I’m OK.”

"At least she has now admitted it wasn’t true. And was forced to say it.”

The trial, expected to last a week, is the culmination of a nearly three-year long battle between Coleen and Rebekah, that began when the former accused her fellow WAG's Instagram account of leaking stories to the press.

Rebekah has always vehemently denied the claims, and subsequently launched legal action, suing Coleen for libel.

The trial continues.
