Bridgerton: Regé-Jean Page discusses ‘heads-up’ he gave family
Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor has revealed her actress mum is “very proud” of her following her latest foray into acting. The 25-year-old actress – the daughter of Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Webster in Coronation Street – landed the lead part of Daphne Bridgerton in the hugely successful Netflix drama by Shonda Rhimes.
The period drama, which was released on Christmas Day, see’s Phoebe’s character fall in love with eligible bachelor Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings.
In the programme, Phoebe is seen in many a raunchy scene with actor Regé-Jean Page, who plays her love interest.
It was during those steamy encounters that the young actress held the remote control firmly in her hand, while watching the show with her family.
She was quick to fast forward the racier moments to save her blushes.

Phoebe revealed that in addition to watching the show with her mother, her grandparents were also present.
Speaking on her famous mum, the actress said: “She is very proud and excited.
“I watched the show with the whole family, even the grandparents managed to watch it.
“I had to sit there and fast forward on high alert with the remote control.
“We managed it just about,” The Daily Star reports her saying.
The Netflix drama was produced by Shonda, the woman behind medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.
Following it’s festive release, the streaming service announced that 63 million households watched the show within 28 days of its debut.
That makes it one of most popular Netflix original shows to launch ever.
Bridgeton could return for seven more seasons, the creator has hinted.

Phoebe has starred in numerous television shows before landing the part in Bridgeton.
She made her acting debut in BBC One show Waterloo Road at the age of 14 in 2009.
The Corrie star’s daughter was a series regular in the school series and appeared in over 20 episodes.
More recently she starred in American TV show Younger and Snatch, a series based on Guy Ritchie’s film of the same name.
She also had roles in period drama Dickensian back in 2015 and Prisoners’ Wives before that.
Her mum Sally on the other hand, is best known for starring in long-running soap opera Coronation Street.
She has been on the ITV show since 1986.
Sally is married to Emmerdale script writer Tim Dynevor and Phoebe is their oldest child.
The couple are also parents to Samuel, 23, and Harriet, known as Hattie, 17.
