Stacey Solomon, 30, hit out at long-term love Joe Swash, 38, after he presented her with a 2019 caravan that is believed to have cost an eye-watering £45,000. The former EastEnders star purchased the camper van as a special surprise for the star and their blended household.

Earlier in the day, Joe had teased social media followers, as he shared clips of the Angel of the North statue in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear while on a train.

Once he had reached the north, Joe grinned from ear to ear as he picked up the new car.

Joe wrote: “What Stacey don’t know is I’ve come all the way to Whitley Bay to Southlands Motors to pick up this,

“Look at this. The new addition to the Swash/Solomon family. I can’t wait to make some memories. I’m absolutely chuffed.”

However Joe’s enthusiasm came to an abrupt end, as Stacey appeared far from impressed when surprised with his present.

“Oh my god,” Stacey exclaimed while filming the van outside of her house.

“What the hell, Joe,” she added while turning the video on her partner.

“Our new wheels mate,” Joe uttered.

“Our new home, do you like it?” he questioned

Joe continued to smile at Stacey, before she proceeded to ask when he had purchased the gift.

Stacey captioned the video: “Is he actually joking… I was so tired last night I walked past that monstrosity thinking someone had parked up and gone to the pub or something only to find out it’s ours apparently.”

The former EastEnders star had picked out a VW Transporter that had been given a bespoke upgrade that included a brand new interior with leather seats.

As part of the custom upgrade there were also black alloys and a pop up roof conversion to enable the couple a comfortable night’s sleep in the van.

The front black leather seats also allow the family to face each other while enjoying meals.

In the rear of the camper was room for their sons to sleep in a fold out double bed.

They will also be able to cook family meals in the kitchen area that has a combi oven, fridge, gas hob and sink.

Joe also had given the van a paint job of white with black stripes around the base, finished with VW classic logos.

The star also had the wing mirrors painted in black and a custom black carbon fibre grille on the front.

The Southlands dealership Joe purchased the camper from explained that he had had the van custom built, as they shared a beaming photo of the star alongside the vehicle.

They wrote: “We hope you all enjoy your stunning new custom built campervan, and make sure you tag us along in all your amazing trips you have planned!”
