Admission to courses under the Indian systems of medicine, AYUSH, in the State will be on the basis of marks scored in Class XII, the State government has said. Marks scored by students in NEET will not be used this year.
The decision was taken by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, following a meeting with officials on Monday.

The State’s policy is that no entrance test would be held and the introduction of NEET would go against the Tamil Nadu Admission in Professional Educational Institutions Act 2006.
