Actor Sonali Bendre found support and encouragement from her colleagues and friends in Bollywood after she revealed on Wednesday that she is fighting cancer.

“Totally stunned… Still reeling from the news… Have had the wonderful fortune of directing Sonali in that very special role that she played in
KHNH [Kal Ho Naa Ho]…
Prayers and wishes to her and Goldie and the family… They are fighters and I am certain they will come up trumps…,” said her
director Nikkhil Advani in a WhatsApp message toThe Hindu.

Most, however, were unwilling to comment. “What’s there to say other than pray for her and wish her quick recovery,” said an obviously upset industry person. Bollywood also responded to her statement on social media. “Full power Bhabs,” tweeted Goldie Behl’s close childhood friend Abhishek Bachchan. “Godspeed, love and strength to a true fighter and a solid soul,” said her
producer Karan Johar. “You are the strongest girl I know. My Superwoman,” wrote her
