Power supply would be affected around Manipal on July 16 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The areas include Shanthinagara, Ishwaranagara, 80 Badagabettu, Dasharathanagara, Rajeevanagara, KMF, Kodange, Nehrunagara, and Saralebettu.

Pernal-Sandola

Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy has organised Pernal-Sandola 2018 in association with Melthene-Beary Writers and Artists Forum, Deralakatte, on July 15 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Lions Seva Sadana, Assaigoli-Konaje. Housing and Urban Development Minister U.T. Khader will inaugurate the programme chaired by Academy President Karambar Mohammed. The programme includes writing and reciting of Beary poems, and a poets’ conclave.

Aadhaar Adalat

The district administration has organised Aadhaar Adalats in taluk headquarters to the general public who have not yet enrolled for the same during July-August. An official release here said the Adalat would be held from July 16 to July 21 at Samarthya Soudha, near Taluk Panchayat office, Bantwal; July 23 to July 28 at old taluk office, Belthangady; July 30 to August 4 at Community Hall, Puttur; and from August 6 to August 11 at Taluk Office, Sullia. The general public may attend the Adalat with all supporting documents for enrolment, the release said.
