Four persons, including a woman, were injured after their car rammed a parked water cannon truck in New Delhi’s Parliament Street on Sunday morning, the police said.

The car driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle at 5.10 a.m. and rammed the Delhi Police water cannon truck, they said, adding that the occupants — Arun, Krishan, Priyanka and Pintu — all aged between 25 years and 30 years — were headed towards Gurdwara Bangla Sahib. Before the police reached the spot, the injured were taken to a nearby hospital. The police then went to R.M.L. Hospital but did not find the victims there. Later, they received a call from AIIMS Trauma Centre stating that the injured were getting treated there. One of the victims was discharged. Two others have sustained fractures but all the victims are out of danger, the police said.

A case under appropriate sections of the IPC has been registered at Parliament Street police station.
