All the major development and welfare schemes being taken up by the Telangana government in the areas of irrigation projects, roads, distribution of free gas connections, houses construction, smart policing and so on are being done with the help of funds disbursed by the Central government, claimed Union Minister of State for Home, Hansraj Ahir, on Tuesday.

Addressing a public meeting at Godavarikhani as part of the ongoing ‘Janachaitanya Yatra’ of Telangana BJP chief K. Laxman on the 11th day, the Union Minister said that the Modi Government does not discriminate between States whether it is Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala or Karnataka, he said.

Takes a dig at Congress

What the Congress governments could not do in the last 60 years, the NDA government had achieved in the last four years, he claimed and criticised the TRS government of not implementing the PM Fasal Bhima Yojana crop insurance scheme adequately. The Centre has also initiated steps to revive the fertilizer factory at Ramagundam and took measures to help the coal sector, he claimed.

Betrayers of Telangana and the Majlis have benefited after formation of the State while several youngsters gave up their lives during the agitation for separate State, said Mr. Laxman. Charging the TRS government of being ruled by a single family, he said the four-year rule of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is a saga of broken promises.
