Southern Railway has announced changes in pattern of train services, in view of works being taken up along a few stretches of Salem and Palakkad divisions.

To facilitate engineering works along Kannur- Mahe stretch for 20 working days from July 2 to to 28 (except Sundays and Wednesdays), the following changes are made in the operation of trains originating and passing through Salem division.

Train no. 56323 Coimbatore- Mangaluru Junction Fast Passenger will be partially cancelled between Shoranur and Kannur. Train no. 56324 Mangaluru Junction – Coimbatore Junction Fast Passenger will be partially cancelled between Kannur- Shoranur . Train no. 22609 Mangaluru Junction- Coimbatore Junction will arrive at a delay of 30 minutes.

Similarly, to facilitate engineering works along Mavelipalaiyam- Magudanchavadi down line, the following changes are made in the operation of train originating and passing through Salem Division for 38 days from July 4 to August 10 .

Train no.66602/66603 Coimbatore- Salem- Coimbatore will be partially cancelled between Erode- Salem- Erode.

Train no. 07115 Hyderabad- Kochuveli weekly special on Sundays will be regulated for 40 minutes at Salem on July 8, 15, 22, 29 and August 5.

Train no. 22815 Bilaspur- Ernakulam weekly special arriving Salem on Tuesdays will be regulated for 45 minutes at Salem on July 10, 17, 24, 31 and August 7.

Train no.22619 Bilaspur- Tirunelveli Super Fast Weekly express, arriving Salem on Wednesdays, will be regulated for 40 minutes at Jolarpettai and 40 minutes at Salem on July 4, 11, 18, 25 and August 1 and 8.
