Sona College of Technology here signed a memorandum of understanding with Human Resocia Company Limited, Japan, for recruitment of its students.

Human Resocia is a spidery company of Human Holdings and a major concern of Japan.

Otaya Mitsugu, president of Human Resocia Company, Ozawa Kentaro, director and Naoki Irie, vice-president, visited Sona College with their two recruiting employees recently and signed the MoU.

Already, in March 2018, the same company came for a job drive and selected 13 students from third and fourth year of IT, CSE, MECH, ECE and EEE.

Chocko Valliappa, vice-chairman of Sona Group of Institutions, said that the college will place at least 100 students in Japanese firms this year with high salary package.

To achieve the goal, Sona introduced Japanese language in the credit system from last year.

Also, the college will provide different technical trainings based on the needs of the industry. Sona Yukti has been selected by National Skill Development Corporation as one of the sending organisations to send the trained blue colour labours to Japan with basic Japanese language. A total of 87 Sona students were offered jobs in Japan after undergoing Japanese language training programme.

S.R.R. Senthil Kumar, Principal, Sona college of Technology, said that this time more than 110 students, who learn Japanese language, will appear for the interview.

Before completing the degree, they will get the proficiency in the language. The college is planning to start a diploma course in the near future, he added.

S. Saravanan, convener of Japanese Language Centre, said that more than 260 students are studying Japanese language through two full-time native Japanese teachers from first year. This will enable the students in getting placed in different Japanese companies.
