APCC president N. Raghveera Reddy has asserted that the Congress will contest the 2019 elections without entering into any alliance in the State.

The TDP and the YSRCP leaders, unable to digest the growing support to the Congress, were making baseless allegations against it, he told the media here on Sunday.

Mr. Reddy said the people understood that the Congress alone would accord Special Category Status (SCS) to State.

Stating that the economy was in doldrums, he held the Central and State governments responsible for it.

Referring to reports that Assembly would be convened soon, Mr. Reddy said the YSRCP MLAs should attend the session without fail. Else, they should submit their resignations.
