A Navy team on Tuesday rescued two Indonesian crew members on board a stranded floating dock, Al Fattan, that washed ashore on the Thottappally beach in Alappuzha on Monday.
An Advanced Light Helicopter of the Indian Naval Air Squadron 322 of the Southern Naval Command evacuated the crew.
The rescued members were brought to INS Garuda in Kochi and handed over to the Coast Guard and civil administration for immigration formalities.
The floating dock, which got disconnected from the tug, was being transported to Abu Dhabi from Sabang in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Customs sleuths seized a satellite phone from the tug that was towing the dock.
