The activities of the English Literary Association of the Thiruvalluvar Government Arts College here were inaugurated at a function held on Monday.

A. Sreerangan, retired Professor of English, Salem Sowdeswari College, was the chief guest.

Communication skills

In his inaugural speech, he stressed the importance of English and developing communication skills for building a bright future in the present day scenario. Moreover, Dr. Sreerangan said that the student community can develop the communication skills with hard work and cultivating reading habit.
