It was a double delight for the activists of the YSRCP in East Godavari district on Sunday when they celebrated the birth anniversary of the former Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and the completion of 2,500-km of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra of party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at Pasalapudi village of Rayavaram mandal.

Party cadre and leaders from different parts of the district gathered in the village to celebration the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, they recalled the services rendered by the former Chief Minister to the poor and the downtrodden in the unified State.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy turned emotional and shared the fond memories he had with his father.

In a tweet, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the two occasions were not just a coincidence, but an indication that the yatra had the blessings of the people of the State and his father as well.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy later planted a sapling at the village to mark the occasion and reached Mandapeta on the outskirts. He was greeted by the party leaders and villagers en route the yatra.
