Tribal Welfare Commissioner Christina Z. Chongthu on Friday inaugurated an English language course for teachers at Utnoor B.Ed. college in Adilabad district. The capacity-building programme in basic English and pedagogy is being conducted by a private institute to enable tribal school teachers to teach the language at the primary level.
The Tribal Welfare Commissioner underscored the importance of English language in education in these times. She said students would pick up the language if they get to learn it at an early age. Adilabad Collector D. Divya and Utnoor Integrated Tribal Development Agency Project Officer S. Krishna Aditya also participated.
