Congress aspirant from Gajwel constituency Vanteru Pratap Reddy has gone viral on the social media with his controversial statement that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader and minister in the caretaker government T. Harish Rao was in touch with Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

“Mr. Harish Rao is in regular touch with Mr. Rahul Gandhi. He may join the Congress party any time. He has also made phone calls to me from a private number and asked me to defeat caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He even expressed his willingness to extend the required financial assistance,” Mr. Pratap Reddy alleged while addressing a meeting at Gajwel on Saturday.

“Infighting in the TRS has reached a peak and it has become difficult for both Mr. Harish Rao and another minister in the caretaker government K. Taraka Rama Rao to get along in the party. It is only a matter of time before Mr. Harish Rao will be sent out of the party. As the situation is in favour of the Congress in the state, Mr. Harish Rao has decided to join the party. These are facts and I am not saying it for sake of publicity,” Mr. Pratap Reddy told
The Hindu.

He wondered why Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao remained confined to the farm house after announcing that he would conduct 108 meetings in 50 days.
