The Vellore police have arrested Deenadayalan, 23, allegedly a Naam Tamizhar Katchi functionary, for spreading rumours about Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam patriarch M. Karunanidhi’s health.

The police arrested Deenadayalan following a complaint lodged by Jnanaprakasam, a Gudiyatham IT wing functionary of the Opposition party, pertaining to a social media post being circulated by a youngster residing in his locality.
