A Joint Action Council of doctors which met here on Tuesday decided to organise a series of agitations against the mixed medicine concept that it alleged was intended to be implemented by the government.
On July 20, the council will observe ‘anti-mixed medicine day’ across the State.
On July 25, doctors and medical students, led by the council, will lay siege to the Secretariat.
In a statement here, the joint action council alleged that the controversial order had been issued in haste when the Health Minister was not in town, even though doctors of modern medicine had appealed to the Health Secretary not to go ahead with it.
