Lawyers representing the Justice A. Arumughaswamy Commission and V.K. Sasikala inspected the Apollo Hospital on Greams Road on Sunday evening.

The visit by the team of lawyers including S. Parthasarathy, counsel for the commission of inquiry looking into former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s death, lasted over an hour. Jayalalithaa’s niece J. Deepa also inspected the hospital with her lawyer after an order from the Commission allowed her to do so. Mr. Parthasarathy said the purpose of the visit was to understand the layout of the hospital so as to ascertain the authenticity of the videos submitted to the panel as part of the inquiry. Lawyer N. Raja Senthoor Pandian, who represents Sasikala, said that the spots where Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and AIADMK MP M. Thambidurai were seated were also identified.

“The commission’s lawyers wanted to know where the CT scan was taken, though it was not part of the original request,” he said.
