IT Minister N. Lokesh took to the Twitter on Thursday to lashed out at BJP national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member G.V.L. Narasimha Rao.

In response to Mr. Rao’s comments two days ago that the State government was resorting to doublespeak on the Special Category Status (SCS) and the special package, the Minister tweeted: “Good Morning! It took me 36 hrs bcoz I’m busy attracting & signing investments for AP & that too without any support from GoI. Looking forward to the so called PC where u will announce names. Wonder what’s taking u so much time to publish names? Lack of Creativity?”

The BJP leader at a press conference had asserted that the government was not uttering a word on the Externally Aided Projects (EAPs), for which the Central government would bear the burden of loan.

Listing the number of projects sanctioned to the State under the Sagarmala programme, Mr. Rao had said the State government was not talking about these projects, but making a hue and cry over the SCS.

Mr. Lokesh had on an earlier occasion shot back at Mr. Rao and tweeted, “May I ask who is GVL to tell UCs submitted by AP are incorrect? Concerned departments have to raise questions if they are in improper form. FY I, all UCs for nearly Rs. 1,000 crore spent on backward districts have been submitted & approved.”

The tweet was in response to the BJP leader’s remarks that the UCs were not submitted.
