A 23-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling in a lodge in Governorpet on Wednesday.

According to the police, the man, identified as Vamsi Krishna of Tenali, worked as a sales executive in an apparel company and was in search of a job.

In a suicide note found in his room, Krishna mentioned a girl’s name and said he took the extreme step because of her.

He gave the phone numbers of his mother and sister and asked his father to go to work instead of sending his mother.

Financial problems

Police said that Vamsi Krishna was struggling financially after quitting the last job and came to the city for an interview.

He booked a room in Akhila Residency and stayed there for two days before committing suicide.

The victim’s body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem.
