The former Minister H. Anjaneya has alleged that Holalkere MLA Chandrappa is creating hurdles in completing the development projects that were launched during his tenure as Social Welfare and district in-charge Minister in the previous Congress government. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, the former Minister alleged that Mr. Chandrappa has instructed the authorities concerned to stop the works that were implemented by inviting tenders during the previous government.

“The MLA is also misguiding people of Holalkere constituency stating that many development works were being taken up by him [Mr. Chandrappa] with funds from the government,” he added.

The Congress government had released crores of rupees for taking up development works, including construction of hostels and college buildings, in Holalkere constituency. All these works are in different stages of construction, but the MLA is trying to stop these works, he said.

Mr. Anjaneya also said that a meeting of his supporters and party workers has been convened at Holalkere here and the future course of action would be decided after discussions with them.
