Bidar police have arrested 28 persons on the charge of killing a Hyderabad-based IT engineer and injuring three of his friends, following rumours on WhatsApp that they were child-lifters. Meanwhile, family members of one of the survivors have told the investigating officers that there was some money in a bag in the car that the friends were travelling in.

Superintendent of Police D. Devaraja said that the officers had seized all material and would produce them before court.
