A National Lok Adalat will be held by the High Court Legal Services Committee at the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on July 14 .

Cases to be heard

The cases to be heard at the National Lok Adalat are: criminal compoundable cases, Negotiable Instruments Act cases, Bank recovery cases, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, labour dispute cases, electricity and water bills (including non-compoundable cases), matrimonial disputes, land acquisition cases, service matters relating to pay and allowances and retiral benefits, revenue cases and other civil cases (rent, easementary rights, injunction suits, specific performance) and others.
