PMK youth wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Friday said allowing private companies to conduct the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission exams would result in corruption.

Mr. Ramadoss said the State government’s move to invite applications from private companies to conduct the examinations had more negatives than positives. “The Tamil Nadu government has said that the extended delay in announcing the results was the reason they took this decision. While it is not wrong, the solution to this is to speed up the process of evaluation and not making the tests online,” he said.

TVK leader T. Velmurugan also criticised the latest move by the State government. “Edappadi K. Palaniswami has already tried to integrate not just those from other States but also foreign nationals in government jobs. We are seeing a reduction in Tamil people in jobs. Now, they are trying to bring private players to conduct the TNPSC exams. This will result in Tamil people losing job opportunities, and also social justice will be compromised,” he said.
