A tourism and hospitality human resource portal launched by the Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies (KITTS) is aimed at linking jobseekers and job providers in the sector and bringing all employment opportunities under one umbrella.
The portalwww.tourismcareers.inallows jobseekers to search for and identify jobs that suit them best; employers too can find resources that fit their requirements.
Recruiters and jobseekers can register on the portal for free.
Those searching for employment can enter the job description they are keen on, location they are interested in, and specify their experience and expected salary. Jobs are categorised into full-time, part-time, and short-term.
The portal will be a platform for experienced personnel looking for better career opportunities. Organisations too can reach their target segments and save on advertisement expenses.
It also enables employers to search and select students having skill sets that match their requirements in the shortest time.
Minister for Tourism Kadakampally Surendran who inaugurated the portal on Thursday said the government was looking to create 5 lakh opportunities in the tourism sector in three years.
