Social activist and former IAS officer E.A.S. Sarma has sought probe by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change into alleged non-compliance by a pharmaceutical company on directions given on pollution control measures with regard to its expansion project at Chippada near Bhimili.

In a letter to C.K. Mishra, Secretary, MEFCC, he stated that at the time of giving environmental clearance for expansion on August 1, 2017, the Ministry had asked Divis Laboratories to submit compliance reports regularly.
