The police on Friday arrested a quack practising allopathic medicine at Ananthapuram near Gingee. The police sources said Kalyan Kumar, Ananthapuram town panchayat secretary of the DMK was running a homoeopathic clinic at Ananthapuram.

He used to prescribe allopathic medicines.

The police seized syringes and medicines from him. He was arrested and remanded to custody.
