A brother and sister ended life by consuming poison at Udumalpet on Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as Nagaraj (65) and his sister Janaki (75), residents of Poolankinar, near Udumalpet.

According to the police, Nagaraj, who retired from Commercial Tax Department, his wife Rajamani and Janaki were living together. Nagaraj’s two sons are employed abroad. Janaki had been suffering from end-stage cancer due to which the woman and her brother were depressed.
