A special camp for registration of establishments under the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY) for Madurai North and South taluks and Sivaganga district will be held on August 1 at the Regional Provident Fund Office here.
Regional Provident Fund Commissioner N. Gopalakrishnan will inaugurate the camp at 10.30 am. Establishments have been invited to attend the camp and enrol in the PMRPY scheme.
The establishment/employer should bring Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) and bank details and User name and password for spot registration under the scheme.
The PMRPY, which came into effect on April 1, was launched by the Central government with an intention to generate employment.
Under the scheme, the government will pay the full employer’s contribution towards Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees Pension Scheme (EPS) for the new employees. Earlier, the benefit was applicable for employer’s contribution towards EPS alone.
All establishments covered under the EPF Act can avail themselves of the employer’s share of the contribution for a period of three years in respect of all the newly joined employees by registering with the scheme.
For further details, establishments can contact V. Sunthan, Enforcement Officer, at 9442062650 or the District office at 0452-2545704.
