Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Tuesday laid foundation stone for a girls hostel at Nizam College which would accommodate 200 undergraduate students. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) would contribute Rs. 5 crore as announced by IT and Municipal Administration Minister K.T. Rama Rao earlier, while Osmania University would spend Rs. 1.25 crore.

OU Vice-Chancellor S. Ramachandram thanked the government and the HMDA for the initiative which would strengthen girls’ education.

Mayor B. Rammohan, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, MP Asaduddin Owaisi and others attended the event.
