In an outreach programme to spread noble ideas among students and to also encourage schools to nurture pupils in a better way, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (SSSSO) conducted ‘Vidya Jyoti’, its flagship programme to support educational institutes.
With the motto ‘Inspiring children by empowering schools’, the members of SSSSO Nalgonda chapter visited the town’s Government Primary School on Friday and spoke with children on inculcating values and maintaining good health. Programme coordinator Sandeep Reddy, touching upon the importance of games and cultural activities in schools, said a learning ecosystem could be created by providing good infrastructure involving both parents and teachers in the process.
Being implemented across several States, Vidya Jyoti adopts schools, semi-operational or under repairs, and helps them turn into collaborative spaces of learning. It reaches out to students, teachers, parents and all the stakeholders in creating a better learning ecosystem. The members of SSSSO later distributed neck-ties, belts and stationery kits comprising notebooks and pencils to students.
