The State police have executed a minor reshuffle in the top echelons of the force.

For one, it has transferred ADGP, Armed Police Battalions, Sudheesh Kumar, who came under a cloud after his official driver accused his daughter of assaulting him, as head of the Coastal Security.

It has also moved H. Venkatesh, managing director, Kerala State Beverages Corporation (KSBC), to the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau as IG. Mr Venkatesh, who served in the CBI, has a strong service record of cracking graft cases while in Central service.

Former City Police Commissioner Sparjan Kumar has been posted as head of the KSBC.
