A TDP delegation met DMK Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi here on Monday to seek support for its demand for “implementation of provisions” of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. However, the delegation was unable to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and his deputy, O. Panneerselvam.

“When Andhra Pradesh was reorganised, the Centre made a lot of promises. When their Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu observed a fast, I also met him. Today they met me in connection with the issues they would raise in Parliament,” she told

Ms. Kanimozhi said they also brought a letter [from Mr. Naidu] for DMK working president M.K. Stalin.

As for the meetings with the AIADMK leaders, Mr. Ramesh, a member of the delegation, told

that he and his colleagues waited for a call from the former till 4 p.m. Yet, there was “no response”, he said, expressing the dissatisfaction of the delegation over the attitude.
