Mechatronics students of a few colleges affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) where reportedly unable to write their satellite communication examination as the question papers did not reach the colleges. In one of the affiliated colleges in the city, students of third year, sixth semester mechatronics stream where made to wait for 45 minutes before they were told that the satellite communication exam was being rescheduled.
“We were given question papers of some other subject. When we informed the invigilator, we were made to wait for 45 minutes, before being told that the exam was being rescheduled,” said a student.
However, VTU has denied this. Jagannath Reddy, Registrar, VTU said: “There were some rumours about mechatronics papers not being conducted in some colleges. However, they are false. There may have been delays in distribution of papers in some colleges. There is no question of rescheduling the exam.”
